Let's compare both characters in front of a mirror. Physically they are completely different. Nikita's luminous blond hair are different from Michael's dark hair. Although they both have delightful faces: Nikita's soft lines, her amazing blue eyes, everything in her face is a tribute to feminity. Michael in reverse, has a changing look in his eyes, and his jaw and chin reveal masculinity. It is one of the strong point of this series, the study of the character's faces is important. Again it is not really comparing the two bodies.

Nikita's movements show some virility and what about her warm and low pitch voice. Very sensual. There is a sign of androgyny. Michael is a male between males. Nikita is a woman who is trying to find a place in an environment of males. This rubs off on her behavior, but turns out in favor of Michael, who under his cold presence, will care and worry about her. Michael's sensitivity will show more when Nikita will sport a more masculine attitude. Roy, as previously mentioned, has some feminine characteristics, well balanced, which come out subtly when his partner becomes more masculine. It is a main asset. A man will be more fascinating if he is able to mix with his virility some feminine touch that he carries at the very bottom of his soul.. It is the Yin and Yang symbol.

But one of the main interest of the series will be: the photography. The beauty of the faces, beautiful close-ups. It is one of the reasons this series is so popular. To follow characters during 22 weeks for 4 years, with complicity of the camera, so oftenly shameless, with fantastic frames near the eyes, half plunged in the soul, thus creating such a warm intimacy between the characters and the viewers. The communication is much more intense. The work was remarkably done, with Art, you can not ask for more. Very often I watched this series just for the pleasure of the eyes, this pleasure being transmitted to the heart.

The adventures of NIKITA and its future is now in the hands of fate. It will probably end by summer 2000. What ever will happen to this series, well, one sure thing it has been a real success, having brought together women all around the world to celebrate love between a man and a woman at the end of the Twentieth Century, still in a hostile universe. This women reunion, gained so much intensity because of the Web, thus following the path of its heroes. Many of us were linked together by NIKITA's adventures. And one of the reasons for this world craze will remain the eternal look in the eyes...this greenish look...always intense, loving but too often immobile, pure, out of reach...The unique look in the eyes of a Knight...the look of an Archangel...limpid.

And we will remember forever that gesture, as pure as a Japanese drawing line, Michael caressing the line of Nikita's blond eyebrow, the ultimate love confession of our sibylline hero.
