A Wonderful Dream... or is it?
By: Lease
"Ladies and Gemtlemen we are getting ready to make our final desent into
Toronto, at this time we ask that you please return all seats and tray
tables to their upright positions, and we at Air Canada thank you for
flying with and have a great stay!" said the stewardess at the front of
coach class.
'Finally' I think to myself. 'I am finally here in Canada! Let's see do
I have everything...' I stand up and start to sling my laptop carry case
on to my shoulder 'Carry on...check....Royettes badge for the convention
...check...my sanity...nope lost that last week...'
"Umph!" I hear from behind me.
"Oh my god!" I exclaim as I turn around to see the fine looking gentleman
from behind me bent double at the waist. "Are you alright?" I ask him
somewhat hesitantly.
"Oui m'mselle" came the reply as if he was still having problems getting
his breath back into his system. "Please let me carry that for you.." he
say's as he lifts the offending laptop carry on from my shoulder.
"I am so sorry. I thought that you had already gone passed me..." I
trailed off as my eyes got caught with his beautiful bright green ones.
"Do I know you?" I ask breathlessly.
"Non, I am very sure that I would have remembered you." he replied still
looking at me.
"Yes, well I imagine that it's not everyday that you get hit in the solar
plexis with a laptop and printer." I say laughing a little. "Are you sure
that you are alright? I am so very sorry that I hit you with my laptop." I
finish in a rush.
"I am fine, really. I should have been paying more attention to what was
going on then to my day dreams." he replied placing his free hand in a
gentle but firm position at the small of my back.
He gently steered me off of the plane and through the airport to baggage
claim. As we walked we talked a little about what we were both doing here
in Toronto.
"So what is that badge that you are wearing?" he asked as he pulled it
closer for a better look.
"Oh, it's my i.d. for the first La Femme Nikita Convention that is being
held here." I responded
"Who is that in the background?" he asks looking closer at the picture
then at me.
"Why that is Mr. Roy Dupuis who plays Michael on the show." I say really
looking at him and just then realizing who I was talking to. Boy who would
have thought that he would look even better in person then on the show! He
was wearing a pair of really faded blue jeans that fit him snuggly in the
legs and butt, a hunter green tee-shirt that wasn't tucked in and a pair
of buckskin colored hiking boots. In one hand he carried my laptop case
and a black leather bombers jacket. "Here" I say "let me take my laptop
from you." I reach up to take it away, only to have him stop me.
"It's fine just were it is. This way no other unsuspecting male is going
to be attacked with it." he say's smiling at me.
"But I now have all of my bags..." I reply pointing down by my feet "And
I really must get going. I have plans to meet some people in about an
hour. I thank you very much for all of your help and I am sorry for
hitting you with my bag." I say backing away with all of my luggage in
hand, including the laptop.
There really isn't anything that he can say as I walk away, glancing back
over my shoulder, praying that he isn't watching, but seeing that he is
and waving. I nod my head back at him before practically running out of
the airport. I was able to hail a taxi and was checking into the hotel
when I realized that my badge was missing off of my lanard (a piece of
material that goes around your neck..hold your keyes on it,etc.). Where is
it? I think to myself...well I guess that it's a good thing that I made
two for myself. Boy the girls are not going to believe what has just
happened to me!
Two hours later after meeting with Moonie, Lucky, Key, Cherie and the
rest of the Royettes, I was getting ready for dinner when there was a
knock on my hotel door. As I went to open the door in my hunter green silk
bathrobe (I had just gotten out of the bath tub...besides I was hiding
behind the door when I openned it without looking to see who was there
first). Standing int he hallway was a room service man with a cart of food
on a trolley and a dozen white roses in a vase on the table.
"Excuse me?" I start to say, as he boldly pushes his way into my room
when I hear from behind me...
"Non, mon ami, let the man do his job." I turn to look to see Roy wearing
a pair of jet black jeans with a black silk shirt openned up at the throat
at least two buttons.
"How did you find me?" I ask him as he comes in and tips the waiter on
his way out the door.
"Merci" he tells the waiter, who inturn say's something in french to Roy,
making that smile and say 'Oui!' (will some please pick Jo up now...to
many thuds are not good for the back! =P) "I found you by your badge." he
say's pulling it from his back pocket. while I am looking at him
dumbfoundedly, he closes the door and leans over to place a kiss of
greeting on first one cheek, then another before placing one on my
slightly parted lips. "Let's eat! You must be starved without eating any
of the airlines food, which is quite good by the way!" he chides me.
"But, but, but..." I trail off. I shake my head and start again. "Look
Mr. Dupuis.."
"So you know who I am now? That is very good! Makes everything so much
simpler. No lies, only truths..."
"Huh?" I ask stupuidly " What is going on here? Is this a form of revenge
for my accidently hitting you with my laptop?"
"Non, it is a new beginning...what do you have under your robe?" he asks
coming closer to me. Sliding his arms around my waist, pulling me
closer, his head strats to lower, his lips are inches away from mine.
"Nothing..." I say as the tip of his tongue traces my lips...
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are getting ready to make our final desent into
Toronto. At this time we ask that you please return anll seats and tray
tables to their proper upright positions, we at Air Canada thank you for
flying with us and hope that you enjoy your stay in Canada"
'Damn, I am really starting to hate that dream.' I say to myself as I
stand up after the plane lands to join the que to getting off. As I fling
my laptop carry case on to my shoulder and back I hear and very masculine
voice saying "Umpf" as all air is forcibly pushed out of his system...
'No' I think to myself as I turn around to come face to face with a set of
beautiful green eyes...
